No injuries were reported as a result of the incident, authorities stated.

NEWARK, NJ — Authorities temporarily evacuated students and school personnel at Luis Munoz Marin Middle School in Newark on Thursday after a water pipe in one of the boys restrooms burst, activating the building’s fire alarm system, officials say.
Newark police and fire divisions responded to the school, located at 663 Broadway, around 10:10 a.m., according to a statement from the Department of Public Safety.
Students and staff were evacuated outside the building for about eight minutes. It was later determined that activation of the fire alarm was caused by the ruptured pipe, authorities said.
