Newark School Locked Down After Gun Found In Student’s Locker: Report
Authorities temporarily locked down the Paulo Freire Charter High School in Newark after staff found a gun in a locker, a report says.

NEWARK, NJ — Authorities temporarily locked down the Paulo Freire Charter High School in Newark on Wednesday after administrators recovered a loaded gun from a 17-year-old male student’s locker, a report says.
School administrators found the gun during a routine inspection and called for police assistance. On arrival, Newark police arrested the student and charged him with weapons offenses, RLS Media stated.
Students were released to parents at 12:30 p.m., the report said.
