A "concerned citizen" found a 2-year-old boy alone in Newark, police say.

NEWARK, NJ — There was no stranger danger during a recent encounter between a two-year-old child and a “concerned citizen” who found him alone on the streets of Newark on Friday morning, police say.

Newark police said that a female resident came across a two-year-old boy in a blue coat and blue uniform pants around 10:37 a.m. in the area of Elizabeth and Renner avenues. The “concerned citizen” then called police and remained with the child until authorities arrived.
