A Rutgers University student in Newark got minor cuts after a glass beaker shattered in a campus chemistry lab, administrators say.

NEWARK, NJ — A Rutgers University student in Newark received minor cuts after a glass beaker shattered in a campus chemistry lab at 73 Warren Street on Tuesday, school administrators say.

According to a Rutgers spokesperson, the chemistry lab was temporarily closed when a beaker shattered after being overheated.

A graduate student received minor lacerations during the incident, administrators told Patch.
