On Saturday, thousands of mourners gathered to pay homage to the memory of the recently deceased Essex County pastor, who was found at the Christian Love Baptist Church in Irvington on Oct. 30.

Authorities have stated that there was no foul play suspected in the death of the 51-year-old pastor.

So many people showed up for Christian’s memorial that the service had to be held in the gymnasium of the Essex County Newark Tech high school, NJ.com reported.

Mourners that spoke during the service included U.S. Senator Robert Menendez, U.S. Sen. Robert Torricelli, Rep. Donald Payne Jr. and former Gov. Jim McGreevey.
