2 Burglaries On Or Near Rutgers Campus This Weekend
Loree Hall and a private home were broken into this weekend, the same weekend three people were robbed on New Brunswick streets.

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — The same weekend three people — one of whom was a Rutgers student — were robbed in three different incidents in downtown New Brunswick, there were two burglaries either on and near the Rutgers campus.
Loree Hall, at 72 Lipman Drive, was broken into sometime between 8 a.m. on Saturday and 12:10 a.m. on Monday, April 30. That is a classroom building; the suspects used force to break into an unoccupied office in the building. Police did not disclose what, if anything was taken.
The second burglary happened at approximately 8 p.m. Sunday, April 29 at a home on Hamilton Street between Easton Avenue and College Avenue. This is a private residence in close proximity to campus.

Two men forced entry into the home through a rear door and confronted someone inside on the first floor with a handgun and a knife, police said. The person ran out of the home while the perpetrators moved upstairs, where a Rutgers student and another person were located. Those two were able to escape the residence without interacting with the perpetrators, police said.
The suspects remain at large.
