A Midsummer Night’s Dream: American Repertory Ballet, Rutgers Symphony Orchestra

The world-famous Orquesta Sinfónica del Estado de México returns to the State Theatre! This is the orchestra’s first visit to the United States since 2008. Joining the orchestra for this performance is rising star piano soloist, Irina Chistiakova.

Founded in 1971 by Maestro Enrique Batiz and the State Government of Mexico, the Orquesta Sinfónica del Estado de México aims to promote music as a means of union and identification among Mexicans. A cultural gem of Mexico, the orchestra has recorded a wide range of traditional Mexican and Spanish songs as well as classics by Verdi and Beethoven.
