HIGHLAND PARK, NJ — There have been seven burglaries in Highland Park, NJ in the month of January, a significant uptick in a town that usually sees about three to four break-ins every month, police report.
Highland Park police announced the burglaries this past Monday, Jan. 29. Houses are being hit all over town, on Woodbridge Avenue, Raritan Avenue and in the Triangle section, said Lt. Tom Hammill of the Highland Park police.
Money and jewelry have been taken. Police think it may be the same suspect or group of suspects, Hammill said. As of this time, no arrests have been made. Police are reminding residents to always lock their doors, and make their home look occupied if they are going to be out of town for an extended period of time.
