From greetings to ordering food, the New Brunswick Free Public Library is inviting the public to come and learn simple Chinese in a fun way.
Learning to speak Chinese is actually simpler than many people imagined. Unlike most Indo-European language such as English or Spanish, Chinese verbs do not conjugate, and there is no past or present tense! Very soon, you can impress the staff at a Chinese restaurant by speaking to them in Chinese.
The classes will be held on Wednesday July 11 and July 18, from 7:00pm to 8:30pm. Participants who are interested should come to both dates to ensure continuity of class materials. The classes are free and open to all ages, but registration is required. To register, please contact the Reference Desk at 732-745-5108 x20 or email htang@lmxac.org.
