Screening of "Perestroika" with Director Slava Tsukerman

Meet director Slava Tsukerman during a Q&A following the screening of his film "Perestroika," from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Zimmerli Art Museum at Rutgers University on Oct. 5.

This event is part of Art After Hours, the evening series held on the first Wednesday of each month from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Zimmerli, which invites visitors to explore the galleries, and enjoy a variety of live entertainment.

Shot on location in Moscow, "Perestroika" tells the story of astrophysicist Sasha Greenberg, who returns to his native Russian in 1992 after spending 17 years in exile. The film is being shown in conjunction with the exhibit, "Cast Me Not Away: Soviet Photography in the 1980s." A Tour with Dr. Julia Tulovsky, Associate Curator for Russian and Soviet Nonconformist Art, begins in the lobby at 5:30 p.m., followed by a reception in the Lower Dodge Gallery, from 6 to 6:30 p.m. The film begins at 6:30 p.m. in the Max Multipurpose Room.
