Key Food Marketplace Now Open In New Brunswick
Kirkpatrick Street is now a one-way street between Paterson Street and Route 27 in New Brunswick.
Key Food Marketplace has opened in the New Brunswick Health and Wellness Plaza on Kirkpatrick Street.
“Our goals are simple: Good, fresh food, affordable prices and active involvement in the communities that we serve,” Kevin Kim, the operator of the store, said in a prepared statement.

The store includes a premium deli, seafood, meat and poultry departments, and produce “largely sourced from farms in New Jersey, California, Florida and Texas.”
“Il Bistro” offers prepared food options, including a juice bar, salad bar, sushi and sashimi, and a hot bar.

There is also a wholesale-priced area stocked with household staples.
The store also offers a large selection of international foods.
“We’re pleased to be able to offer this resource to the New Brunswick community and look forward to being able to reap the benefits of its offerings of healthy, fresh food,” Mayor Jim Cahill said in a prepared statement.
With validation from the store, customers can park in the Wellness Plaza deck for up to two hours for free.
There are now a number of free 30-minute parking spaces on both sides of Kirkpatrick Street, which is now a one-way street between Paterson Street and Route 27, said Jennifer Bradshaw, a city spokeswoman.
The rest of Kirkpatrick Street is still a two-way street, she said.
The store is open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 7 a.m. to midnight Saturday and Sunday.
