Man Took His Own Life Outside Highland Park High School: Police
A man, 89, took his own life early Wednesday morning on school grounds outside Highland Park High School, said police.

HIGHLAND PARK, NJ — A man took his own life Wednesday morning on school grounds outside Highland Park High School, said Highland Park Police.
The man, 89 years old, was neither a student nor an employee at the high school; he was not affiliated with the Highland Park school district, said police.
Out of respect for the family, his identity was not released by police. He was a resident of Highland Park.

Highland Park Police were called to the high school at 6:24 a.m. Wednesday for a report of an unresponsive man. Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital EMS was also dispatched to the school.
The unresponsive man was found outside the school and taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

"Our thoughts are with all of those in the community that may have been impacted by this tragic event, including the family of the decedent," said the Highland Park Police Department in a statement.
