New Brunswick Police intervened and stopped a man who threatened to shoot another at 2 a.m. Friday, said police.
NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — New Brunswick Police intervened and stopped a man who threatened to shoot another at 2 a.m. Friday, said police.
This happened near the intersection of Hamilton and Hardenberg streets.
A witness, who is not affiliated with Rutgers University, reported that a man was seen arguing with someone near the Golden Rail Pub when he removed a firearm from the trunk of a nearby vehicle and threatened to discharge the gun.

Officers of the New Brunswick Police Department intervened and pursued the perpetrator on foot.
He was last seen entering a construction site located near the intersection of Hamilton and Hardenbergh streets, at which time a single gunshot was heard. There are no known injuries and the perpetrator fled the area.

The perpetrator was described as a 25-30 year old short Hispanic male, who was wearing red jeans and a red hooded sweatshirt. The descriptors for the involved vehicle are limited at this time.
