A tradition since it first premiered in 1964, American Repertory Ballet’s Nutcracker is a perfect holiday treat for your entire family. Tchaikovsky’s glittering score, performed by a live orchestra, joins ARB’s professional dancers with students from Princeton Ballet School to tell the story of a young girl and how a mysterious gift brings about enchanted dreams and fantastical scenes. The production features choreography by company founder Audrée Estey, choreography and staging by Artistic Director Douglas Martin, spectacular sets by Carl Sprague and costumes by Gina Ricca to create the atmosphere of dreamlike magic. These performances feature a live orchestra and the Princeton Girlchoir, under the direction of Maestro Michael Pratt.
