Rutgers - Yes, you read that correctly. Rutgers University has been named one of the top 50 locations in the U.S. to play Pokemon Go, the game that registered sex offenders in New York state are now barred from playing.
Along with places like the Detroit Zoo and the University of Texas-Austin campus, Rutgers University campus is ranked in the top 50 by gamers, who say:
Major universities are notorious as Pokemon GO hotspots, and Rutgers is no exception. If you’re looking for some great gym action, Rutgers is the place, as most of the gyms on campus are constantly contested between the three factions. Though the campus is mostly home to common Pokemon, Krabbys and Meowths also make it their home, allowing Rutgers students to catch plenty of what may be rarer in other locations. You can find piles of Pokemon in hotspots such as Rutgers Gardens, the concourse (Bulbasaur) and High Point Solutions Stadium, where Magmar and Squirtle love to hang out. Of course, those spots have their fair share of PokeStops, too!
