Rutgers President Salary: He Makes How Much?

Here's how Rutgers University President Robert Barchi's salary compares to other state schools nearby:

New Brunswick, NJ - Rutgers University President Robert Barchi was awarded a $97,000 annual bonus earlier this month, after a meeting with the Rutgers Board of Governors, reports NJ.com.

This bonus, along with a 2 percent pay raise retroactive to July 1 of last year, brings Barchi’s annual salary to $676,260 a year.

At Penn State, president Eric J. Barron was approved in 2014 to receive an $800,000 base salary, and he received a one-time $200,000 “transitional payment” when he first took office. That base salary can be reviewed annually at the end of each year throughout his five-year contract.

Before he stepped down in 2015, then president of the University of Delaware Patrick T. Harker made $728,329 a year.
