NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — Rutgers students said two men forced their way into their private apartment Sunday night and a struggle broke out between the college kids and the men, which ended with one of the men fleeing.

But the second was held by the college students as they called 911, according to New Brunswick city police.

The apartment where this happened is located near the intersection of Delafield and Courtland streets, said police. The young adults said they had just started to walk out of their apartment at 11:15 p.m. Sunday when two perpetrators forced their way inside, demanded personal property from the college kids and said — but did not show — a weapon.
