5 Foods You Should Never Eat

There are at least five foods you should really never consume under any situations. They are...

1.  Fast Food: Yes, it’s fast.  Yes, it’s cheap.  But those are the exact reasons you should never eat it.  A double cheeseburger should not cost $1.  The very fact that the food is so inexpensive should be an immediate warning that something just isn’t right with the food.  Not to mention the weird way in which most fast food does not decompose.  Everything about the fast food industry is wrong – the way they hire workers, where they buy their food, how they prepare it, and the lies they tell you.  Remember Taco Bell being caught saying their ground beef was 100% beef when in reality it was filled with toxic chemicals and fillers?  Or how about the recent scandal involving pink slime.  Once the word got out, McDonald’s said they would remove the filler – but only once the public caught on.   If you have any doubts to the horrible health issues regarding fast food, do two things.  First, stop at a Burger King and just watch the people who come in.  We bet 75% of them will be overweight and unhealthy looking.  Second, watch the film Super Size Me and witness how Morgan Spurlock’s health deteriorated right in front of his eyes.  Fast Food is the worst thing you can eat.  Avoid it at all costs.

2.  Soda: Like McDonald’s, Coca-Cola only removes toxic ingredients when it will hurt their bottom line.  After they were going to be forced to put warning labels on their products saying caramel coloring helps cause cancer, they decided to pull the ingredient.  But only after they were going to have to warn you about it.  See how deceptive they are?  They know the coloring is a health concern, but until they are forced to do something about it, they don’t care.   Let’s look at some of the other health concerns surrounding soda:  Dr. Marion Nestle from his book Food Politics states “The relationship between soft drink consumption and body weight is so strong that researchers calculate that for each additional soda consumed, the risk of obesity increases 1.6 times.”  In other words, drink soda and get fat.  Plus, soda  is the most acidic beverage you can buy, with a pH of about 2.5, the same as vinegar.  If that’s not enough, some sodas contain toxic flame retardants. Mountain Dew, for instance, uses a toxic flame retardant chemical ingredient to keep the artificial flavoring from separating from the rest of the liquid.  And to top it all off, virtually every soda is sweetened  with high fructose corn syrup.  But wait, you drink diet soda – that has to be better, right?  Wrong.  Keep reading.

3. Aspartame and Artificial Sweeteners: Unless you’re living under a rock, you know just how deadly aspartame can be.   According to Dr. Mercola, the artificial sweetener is probably the most dangerous food additive on the market today.  First, it’s highly acidic and does nothing to help you get your body as alkaline as possible – in fact, it does just the opposite.  Dr. Mercola says that the properties of aspartame “act as neurotransmitters in the brain by facilitating the transmission of information from neuron to neuron. This influx triggers excessive amounts of free radicals, which kill the cells.”  Plus, ten percent of aspartame is methanol/wood alcohol which is a deadly toxic poison.  Methanol breaks down into formic acid and formaldehyde in the body.  Do you really want to be eating formaldehyde?  We didn’t think so.

4.  Non-Organic Meat and Dairy: Since our goal is to eat as close to nature as possible, we need to avoid things like antibiotics and pharmaceutical drugs.  We’ve heard it before, you’re not on any drugs.  Think again.  If you are consuming regular factory raised meat and dairy, you are a drug addict – the animals are pumped full of antibiotics so they don’t die.  You see, the factory farms are so gross and nasty and full of disease that without the drugs, the animals would be dead.  Animals raised organically are not allowed to be fed antibiotics or bovine human growth hormone (rbGH), along with other artificial drugs. Organic animals are also not allowed to eat genetically modified foods.  Plus, factory farms treat their animals like commodities.  They are tortured on a regular bases.  You don’t have to be an animal loving PETA member to know this isn’t right.  Yes, organic meat is more expensive, but you get what you pay for.  Can’t afford it?  Then began a vegetarian.  Easy solution.

5.  MSG:  Monosodium glutamate is a flavor enhancer.  Right off the bat, you should be asking yourself this question: “If the food I’m eating is good food, why does it need to be enhanced to being with?”  Real food does not need chemicals to make it taste better.  Sure, you might want to add some organic spices to liven it up, but MSG?  No way!  MSG is a deceiving little ingredient.  It tricks you into thinking what you’re eating tastes better.  Food companies use it in order to get you addicted to their food, so you buy more of their product – which in turn makes them even more money.  Dr. Russell Blaylock explains in his book, Excitotoxins: The Taste that Kills, that MSG is an excitotoxin, which means it overexcites your cells to the point of damage or death, causing brain damage to varying degrees — and potentially even triggering or worsening learning disabilities, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, Lou Gehrig’s disease and more.  Other adverse effects have also been linked to regular consumption of MSG, including obesity, eye damage, headaches, fatigue, disorientation and depression.  Dr. Mercola points out that “even the FDA admits that ‘short-term reactions’ known as MSG Symptom Complex can occur which can involve symptoms such as numbness, burning sensation, tingling, chest pain, difficulty breathing, nausea, and weakness.”  Enough said, avoid MSG like the plague.  You will be better without it.

We should probably add high fructose corn syrup to this list too – Here are a few more you should also consider avoiding:  processed white sugar, white flour, pork, artificial colors/flavors, processed frozen dinners, sugary breakfast cereals, non organic soy, most protein bars, chain restaurants …
