Girl Scouts Say Goodbye to the oldest scout in Bergen County

The oldest Bergen Country Girl Scout Elizabeth "Miss Libbie" Lyndsay who was honored at the 100th Anniversary of GS died and her funeral service is tonight,

A few ladies from New Milford and I had the pleasure of meeting Elizabeth Lindsay, "Miss Libbie," a few months ago when we celebrated the 100th year of Girl Scouting where she has honored as the oldest living scout in Bergen County. The Bergen Record did a wonderful story of her life prior to that event.

I am sorry to say that Miss Libbie passed away yesterday at the age of 101. Elizabeth Lindsay was a girl scout for 88 years. The Girl Scouts of Lyndhurst are asking as many girl scouts as possible to attend the service for her tonight in her honor.

For those who can attend: the service is at the Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ at 7:45 p.m.
