Around the holidays everyone gets excited especially someone hoping for a special gift from that special someone. New Milford sports has that same urge as a new season began for the varsity basketball teams at the high school. It was not a perfect result this past weekend, but both teams have high hopes that were not dimmed in the past three days.
The girls started off strong beating Waldwick 54-19 on Friday in the home opener before bowing to a very good Rutherford team on Saturday.
The boys lost a tough one in Waldwick the same night but expect better results daily.
