Life Source Hospice Services

Life Source Services Hospice offers end of life care. Services include pain management, medical supervision and occupational therapy for those with a prognosis of six months or less.

In today’s busy society, it can be hard to think about finding time to volunteer. However, the benefits of volunteering are enormous, both to you, your family, and the community. The right match can help you find friends, reach out to the community, learn new skills and even advance your career. Volunteering can also help protect your mental and physical health.

Our Life Source volunteers go above and beyond with the help and guidance of Stephanie Kip, our Volunteer Coordinator. Stephanie puts her heart and soul into her work and it filters down to each and every volunteer. A prime example would be Caroline F. Both her mother and boyfriend utilized our hospice service. She is the volunteer with the longest relationship with us and she really
goes the extra mile with her patients.

Caroline traveled to Boston, for the second time, visiting a former patient who has ALS. The patient, Judith, was able to leave our hospice care to go to a treatment center and one year later is doing fine. In fact, she sent us a video of herself skydiving!

Caroline adopted Judith's elderly cat, who is now experiencing various health issues of its own.

Caroline also volunteers at two centers that work closely with Life Source, Emerson H.C. and County Manor, but she has also serves as a substitute volunteer if another volunteer takes a leave.
