In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness, each athlete at New Milford High School will wear pink. The soccer teams, girls tennis and volleyball teams as well as the runners in cross country will sport a pink sweatband during games and meets. The football players will also wear pink bands and the cheerleaders will use pink pom poms. This will continue for the month of October. The reception has been great as each boy and girl immediately went pink and showed their true colors. With so many high schools throughout Bergen County involved, the overall participation has raised the awareness and support for breast cancer research.
