NEW MILFORD, N.J. — Schools were locked down Monday morning as a precaution after police received a report of a suicidal man who left his house with a shotgun, police said.
Police responded to a Princeton Street house shortly before 11 a.m. after an argument was reported there and a shotgun sighted, said New Milford Police Chief Frank Ramaci.
Officers at the scene were told that Andrew Pardo, 24, indicated he was suicidal and left the house with the shotgun in an older model pickup with New York license plates, Ramaci said. Surrounding law enforcement agencies were notified.
