Operation Take Back for Prescription Medications

New Milford Police will be taking part in Operation Take Back New Jersey  this Saturday, April 30, from 10:00am until 2:00pm.  This effort is sponsored by the DEA in order for residents to dispose of old prescription medicine.  Residents may drop off old prescription medications at New Milford Police HQ during the above times where an officer will be assigned to collect them.  Prescription medications  must be in its’ original container but individuals are encouraged to remove the prescription label if it contains personal information at the time of collection.  Keep the cap on liquid containers closed tightly.  No loose medication, syringes or other sharp instruments  will be accepted.  The program is anonymous and all efforts will be made to protect the anonymity of individuals who participate. The collected medications will be turned over to the DEA for destruction.
