Gibbs School PTO Wins "Doing Good" Honor

Canvas on Demand, a company specializing in turning photos into framed canvas portraits, recently selected Gibbs PTO as a recipient in its "Doing Good" program, honoring local non-profits for their work.

The company highlighted the application Gibbs PTO submitted to win the Doing Good award.

The B.F. Gibbs Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is an all volunteer organization. Our mission is to provide the students and faculty with events, activities and day to day supplies that are needed in the classroom, but are not provided for in the school budget. 

We pride ourselves on the ability to provide one paid field trip per year for each grade, school wide enrichment assemblies, after school programs, and upgrades to school equipment.

With the funds raised in the past, we were able to purchase a Sound System for the gymnasium, a Smart Board for the newly renovated Science Room, new carpets and blinds for the classrooms, and re-instate the after school Book Club previously eliminated due to budget cuts.

Canvas on Demand donated a $100 gift card to the PTO to be used at their upcoming fundraiser. The company plans to distribute a 1,000 gift cards across North America to honor local non-profits "doing good" in their communities.
