Knights of Columbus Awarding Scholarships to Two Eighth Graders
Students who plan to attend a Catholic high school are eligible to apply for the award

The Knights of Columbus announced that two $500 scholarships will be awarded to eighth grade students who plan to attend a Catholic high school in the fall. Applicants must be registered members of either Church of the Ascension in New Milford or St. Joseph Church in Oradell.
"Selection will be based on both subjective criteria and weighted, objective criteria," according to a statement released by the Knights of Columbus. "These include extracurricular activities focusing on service to the church, school, and community and an essay on the value of the Knights of Columbus principles of charity, unity, fraternity and patriotism."
Completed applications must be returned to St. Joseph Council and postmarked no later than Friday, April 1. Applications can be downloaded from the Knights of Columbus St. Joseph Council website.
