Local Man Charged With Burglarizing 11 Vehicles
All the vehicles were unlocked, police said. About $1,600 worth of merchandise was taken
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Police arrested a serial burglar after a two-month-long investigation into nearly a dozen vehicle burglarizes in nearby Bergenfield.
Sebastian Nino-Lopez, 21, was arrested after police investigated a vehicle burglary sometime between July 21 and 22, said Bergenfield Police Capt. Mustafa Rabboh.
Police discovered that 11 vehicles parked at nine locations were entered during the night on Malden Court, Greenwich Street and Judith Place, Rabboh said. About $1,600 in items and cash were taken from the vehicles, he said.

As a result of the two-month investigation, Nino-Lopez was arrested and charged with 11 counts of burglary and five counts of theft, Rabboh said. He is scheduled to appear in Bergen County Central Judicial Processing Court.
The Bergenfield Police Department want to remind residents to watch for suspicious people in their neighborhood and lock their vehicle doors to "avoid being an easy target," Rabboh said.
