Charges are pending against Felix Urgiles, 29, after he allegedly drove his car at police officers at JFK International Airport.

NEW MILFORD, NJ — A man found hiding in a closet in a borough home was arrested Wednesday morning, four days after he allegedly drove his car toward police officers at JFK International Airport early Saturday morning.

Charges were pending against Felix Urgiles, 29, said Joe Pentangelo, Port Authority Police spokesman.

Three officers, including one from the Port Authority Police Department, approached a parked car in the road near terminal eight at JFK shortly after 5 a.m. Saturday, Pentangelo said.

Urgiles allegedly drove his car toward the Port Authority officer, causing her to "jump out of the way" of the car and hit another moving vehicle, Pentangelo said.

The other two officers ran toward the Urgiles and he allegedly backed the car up toward them and then fled onto the Van Wyck Expressway, Pentangelo said.

The expressway was shut down while police looked for the car, but they could not find it, he said.

New Milford and Port Authority police officers found Urgiles hiding in a closet of a Princeton Street home at about 8 a.m., Pentangelo said. Urgiles knows someone who lives at the home, he said.

Pentangelo said he did not know exactly what charges would be filed against Urgiles.
