NMHS Remembers September 11
District staffers and borough officials shared their stories and insights about Sept. 11
A ceremony in honor of the tenth anniversary of Sept. 11 was held at New Milford High Sschool Friday morning.
Guest speakers included NMPD Chief Frank Papapietro, NMHS Interdepartmental Liaison of Special Education Colleen Tambuscio and NMHS Principal Eric Sheninger.
Students were asked to donate personal care items, clothing, games and candy to send to active soldiers overseas, as well as to veterans of war. This was part of an "act of service" in commemoration of the Sept. 11 anniversary.

The event ended with each student planting an American flag into the front lawn of NMHS in honor of the nearly 3,000 people killed in the terror attacks.
