Pevny Dinner to Raise Money for Scholarships
Mike Pevny Scholarship Dinner on Mar. 6 will raise much needed funds for the New Milford High School Scholarship Fund

Michael Pevny was a 34-year-old husband, father, NMHS teacher and coach, who had his life tragically cut short after a brief illness in November 2004. The Michael Pevny Scholarship Dinner was established to honor not only Pevny's memory but also the spirit of generosity that marked his personal and professional life.
This year's dinner is scheduled for Sunday March 6 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Sanducci's in River Edge. The dinner has raised more than $40,000 to benefit the New Milford Scholarship fund over the years.
"It has enabled us to continue to honor the memory of countless individuals who also have scholarships named in their honor," said David Wilson, coordinator of the dinner. "For the last two years we have paid tribute at the dinner to Lauren Savino, a member of the Class of 2009, who was taken from us at far too young an age."
