Teachers Got a Piece of the Pie at DEO Middle School

Seventh grade students earned the right to "pie" the faculty after raising funds in the penny drive

Seventh grade students at the middle school earned the right to "pie" their teachers after collecting the most coins during a recent penny drive.

The drive was lead by the Junior National Honor Society and raised more than $200 for an upcoming project at the middle school.

Principal Whitney Perro also received the full pie treatment, donning what she called a "Haz Mat" suit to defend her from the onslaught of the pies.

"The students and teachers all had a great time," Perro said.

Two of the faculty members who participated in "Pie the Teacher" were Melissa Clason, seventh grade language arts teacher and Justin Muratore, art teacher.
