Uncontested Election for Board of Education Positions

Tuesday was the filing deadline for candidates to run in the April school elections

Three incumbents filed applications with the New Milford Board of Education by Tuesday's deadline and they will be running uncontested in the April 27 school election.

One of seats that is up for grabs is an unexpired two-year term and current BOE trustee John Bigger will be running uncontested for this position.

There are three 3-year terms available on the BOE but only two candidates filed to run for these seats. Board President Daniel Conner and current trustee Florence "Peggy" Saslow both filed applications to run.
