Boys Hoops Team Defeats Summit

In a key road matchup played Monday night, the Gov. Livingston boys' varsity basketball team defeated Summit by a final of 47-39.

Senior sharpshooter Logan Kelley finished with 22 points and 6 rebounds in the victory, while Reid Harrison chipped in with 8 points points and 4 boards for the winners, who improved to 3-2 on the season.

Summit held a 6-2 lead after the first quarter, but GL  battled back to tie the game at 13 at halftime in a low-scoring affair.

The Highlanders then outscored Summit 34-25 in the second half en route to victory.

GL will next face Rahway on Thursday.
