2011 NCAA Division 1 Men’s Basketball East Regional Tournament FanFest

FANFEST:  To entertain the thousands of college hoop fans, a festival of free activities will take place in Championship Plaza next to the Prudential Center with a variety of family-oriented, basketball-themed and entertainment activities beginning Thursday, March 24, from 5:00-9:00 PM and continuing on Friday, March 25 from 3:00 – 10:00 PM, Saturday, March 26 from 12:00 – 6:00 PM, and Sunday, March 27, from 12-7:00 PM.  For more information log on to www.GoNewark.com/HoopFest.

FanFest will include live musical performances, guest DJs, interactive basketball games, agility and skills challenges, Pop-A-Shot,  coaching sessions, face painting, temporary tattoos, a Beer Garden, local food vendors, NCAA® merchandise, “Made in Newark” merchandise and more.

BRICK CITY SITES & SOUNDS: On Saturday, March 26, anchored by FanFest, Downtown Newark on other parts of the City will be alive with a wide variety of entertainment and other activities, at a variety of locations including: NJPAC, Newark Museum, Newark Public Library, Halsey Street and Ironbound Districts, and more.  For exact schedule log on to www.GoNewark.com/HoopFest.
