As a leading voice on health and well-being in our community for 125 years, the Summit Area YMCA’s focus has always been on giving back and supporting our neighbors. With that in mind, the Berkeley Heights YMCA is proud to offer a Cancer Recovery Exercise Program, a free program open to the public.
Since everyone responds differently to exercise, this program offers a small group setting with exercise programs tailored to patients’ specific needs, all while providing a comfortable and supportive environment. This program addresses the fitness recover needs and goals of cancer survivors who want to be able to return to their daily routine as soon as possible.
This free program begins on Tuesday, May 3, from 1:00 to 2:00 pm, and is taught by Carol Michaels, a Cancer Exercise Specialist. All classes are held at the Berkeley Heights YMCA, 550 Springfield Avenue. For more information and to register contact Lisa Monaghan, Wellness Director, Berkeley Heights YMCA, 908-464-8373, lisa.monaghan@theSAY.org.
Our YMCA is one of the area’s largest charitable organizations. Thanks to the generosity of donors, we make financial assistance available to help pay for membership or program fees. If you need assistance, ask any staff person. If you can help us help others, donate online at www.theSAY.org
