Five Things You Need to Know This Week
Home show, garden show and the folk music Cafe highlight a fun-filled week ahead.

We've finally reached the middle of January, which means -- if the groundhog is right -- we're edging closer to an early spring. with temperatures expected to be in the mid 50's later in the week, we can only hope he's right. I say we dress up Puxatawny Phil in a suit and have him do the weather for a local newscast. That could drum up some ratings!
Anyway, enjoy Valantine's week and maybe you can finish off the work week with a new play.

2) Thursday is the time to check out the , being held from 1:00pm–9:00pm at the N.J. Convention and Expo Center in Edison. There will be garden displays, seminars and shopping available. This event will showcase a Standard Flower Show presented by the Garden Club of New Jersey, the Garden Marketplace, top-quality seminars and so much more! All are welcome. 3) A fun time can be had by all on Thursday February 17th at the on Watchung Ave. Show time is from 7:00-8:45 p.m Like always, they'll have live music and tasty desserts. And what's even better, is there's free admission. They will have two inspirational artists for you, including London born, British singer/songwriter Rupert Wates and local favorite, Rebecca Turner. Audiences everywhere respond to Rupert Wates’ acoustic and melodic art/folk, while Rebecca, a fabulous singer, often sings with the Swales with haunting songs that ring true. A favorite part of the night is the song-share where you can dust off your instruments and try out a song. It’s topped off with an informal, live jam session for everyone.
