Jewelry, Cash Stolen During Berkeley Heights Home Burglary

Berkeley Heights Police are asking residents with surveillance cameras that may have captured a video of the suspect to contact them.

BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ — Jewelry and cash were stolen during a home burglary in Berkeley Heights last week.

On Sept. 28 at around 9:30 to 9:45 p.m., someone entered a Bolton Boulevard home through an unlocked rear kitchen window, Berkeley Heights Police report.

The resident reported coming home at 9:45 p.m. and hearing the suspect run out the back of the home towards Scott Avenue.

Inside, the resident found that the bedrooms were ransacked and jewelry and cash were stolen.

On Monday, a resident reported finding a watch, some jewelry and foreign currency on the paper road connecting Scott Avenue and Harwood Avenue.

The Berkeley Heights Police Department Investigations Division is currently investing this burglary and is asking any resident in the area of Bolton Blvd that has surveillance cameras that may have captured a video of a person walking or running in the neighborhood around 9:45 to 9:50 p.m. on Sept. 28, to check their video and contact police. Or anyone that witnessed anything suspicious in this area that night is asked to contact Det. Patrick Moran or Det. William Fettes at 908-464-1111.
