Mirabelli Runs Unopposed in Mountainside; Sports Betting Gets Thumbs Up
State Senator Tom Kean Jr. has overwhelming support.

With little fanfare, 25.7% of the registered 4,773 voters came out on a unseasonably warm November day to cast their votes.
Mountainside's Republican mayor Paul Mirabelli ran unopposed while garnering 773 votes. Keith Turner and Deanna Andre recieved 828 and 836 votes respectively for Borough Council.
Mirabelli's second four-year term begins in January. The mayor spent thirteen years as Councilman, three years as Council President, and has been a Mountainside resident since 1990.

State Senator Tom Kean Jr. had the overwhelming support of local residents, pulling 911 votes in Mountainside.
Mountainside residents also put their stamp of approval on the gambling issue, with 564 yes votes to 335 no votes when it came to legalized sports betting in New Jersey.
