New Providence, Berkeley Heights Locals Arrested For DWI, Drugs
New Providence Police report making 4 arrested for driving while intoxicated, drug possession and outstanding warrant last week.
NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ — Two locals were among those arrested in New Providence last week, according to the police blotter.
On July 27: Corporal Chad Wilson arrested Shannon Welch, 32, of New Providence for driving while intoxicated. The arrest stemmed from a welfare check of a female in her vehicle in a parking lot on Gales Dr. Welch was issued summonses for driving while intoxicated and careless driving. She was processed and released pending a future court appearance.
On Aug. 4: Patrolman David Rodriguez arrested Christian Montes, 32, of Berkeley Heights for possession of marijuana 50 grams or less and possession of drug paraphernalia. The arrest stemmed from a motor vehicle stop on Springfield Ave. Montes was processed and released pending a future court appearance.

On July 27: Sergeant Donald Sretenovic arrested Javier Perez-Argueta, 40, of West New York for an active warrant out of the Hudson County Sheriff Office. The arrest stemmed from a motor vehicle stop on Diamond Hill Rd. Perez-Argueta was turned over to the Hudson County Sheriff’s Department.

On Aug. 1: Corporal Andrew Diamond arrested Ravikiran Yarlagadda, 44, of Ashburn, Virginia for driving while intoxicated. The arrest stemmed from a motor vehicle stop on South St. Yarlagadda was issued
summonses for driving while intoxicated, failure to observe a traffic signal, reckless driving, careless
driving and failure to signal a turn. Yarlagadda was processed and released pending a future court appearance.
