New Providence Police Stop Car Wanted In Hit And Run Crash
New Providence Police also report making 3 arrests for charges include driving while intoxicated, drug-paraphernalia and warrants.

NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ — New Providence Police stopped a car wanted for a hit and run crash in Chatham recently.
On July 18: Patrolman Joseph DiParisi and Special Officer Carmine Boccellari located a vehicle traveling on South Street that was wanted for a hit and run motor vehicle crash in Chatham Township from a few minutes prior.
They attempted to stop the vehicle but it continued driving until finally stopping on Glenside Road. The driver, Roy Rodriguez-Mena, 33, of Maryland and the passenger, Jorge Luis Quintanilla, 21, of Maryland were detained until Chatham Township Police could respond, New Providence Police reported.

Patrolman DiParisi issued Rodriguez-Mena multiple motor vehicle summonses and a future court date. Both parties were turned over to Chatham Township Police.

On July 4: Patrolman Nicholas Guerriero arrested Oscar Ramirez, 63, of Summit for driving while intoxicated. The arrest stemmed from a motor vehicle crash in the Spring Garden Apartments parking lot on Springfield Ave. Ramirez was issued multiple summonses and released pending a future court appearance.
On July 21: Patrolman Jeffrey Bruder arrested Idris Reed, 33, of Lake Bluff, Illinois for possession of drug paraphernalia. The arrest stemmed from a motor vehicle stop on Springfield Ave. Reed was processed and released pending a future court appearance.
On July 25: Patrolman Andrew Lynch arrested Miguel Cuapio, 37, of Passaic on an outstanding warrant out of Passaic. The warrant was located during a motor vehicle stop on Passaic St. Cuapio was issued multiple
summonses and released on his own recognizance pending future court appearances.
