Last month, two important people in our community were recognised for their achievements!
Firstly, if you didn't know, March is Colorectal Cancer awareness month. In honour of this, during March's first meeting, our local businessman Bob Ceragno was honoured for beating his Colorectal cancer and spreading awareness about it!
Secondly, was our North Bergen High School Senior Ayden Rivera, who'd been a 4 year varsity starting guard on the boys basketball team, and a STEM Honour Roll student, serving as an exceptional athlete and a respected leader!
Now onto more serious matters…
The Board of Commissioners authorised an official amendment to the legal contract for the Storm Sewer Replacement System on 88th Tonnelle Ave.
They authorised for a legal contract, that allows the company (Pilot Fiber N LLC) to install, maintain and operate fiber-optic infrastructure in public spaces.
They issued an order to adopt the redevelopment plan on for a lot, specifically in 2811-2817 Kennedy Blvd Block 60, lot 2
Lastly…
They opposed unlawful enforcement used by I.C.E. and U.S. Borders Protection, and prohibited I.C.E. from using the North Bergen Township to conduct civil immigration enforcement activities.
