• Turner, Lee score as Eastern Christian boys soccer shuts out Paterson Charter (nj.com subscription) — A home-field win in North Haledon lifted Eastern Christian boys soccer to a 2‑0 shutout over Paterson Charter, highlighted by goals from Carson Turner and Yuha Lee. With strong goalkeeping from Joseph Virga, the team improved its NJIC‑American conference record and gave local fans something to cheer about early in the season. 
• 'Once-in-a-generation' rainfall recorded in North Haledon as heavy rain hit New Jersey (wrnjradio.com) — North Haledon saw nearly five inches of rain Sunday morning, an amount climatologists say is roughly an 80‑year event and part of a worrying trend toward heavier downpours. Local Rutgers weather stations reported some of the state's highest totals, with nearby towns like Haworth and Little Falls also drenched as New Jersey's climate grows wetter and more flood‑prone.
