Dog Tossed From Car, Oakland Rescue Group Raising Money To Save It
The Shih Tzu named 'Grant' was 14 pounds underweight, had blood in his feces, and couldn't walk, the Ramapo-Bergen Animal Shelter stated.

OAKLAND, N.J. — The Ramapo-Bergen Animal Shelter has launched an online campaign to raise money to help treat an emaciated dog that was thrown from a car.
The dog, a Shih Tzu was brought to the shelter weighing just 6 pounds when he should have weighed 20. The shelter said he was thrown from a car, could nt walk, and had blood in his feces.
The dog, who was named "Grant," was given medicine intravenously and a blood transfusion. He is very weak and needs to regain his strength.

The shelter is trying to raise $6,000 an a Go Fund Me page to offset the cost of caring for him and give him "a second chance at life." The shelter is a nonprofit, no-kill facility that provides care and rehabilitative services to animals in need.
