An 8-month-old N.J. girl whose mother was allegedly high on drugs when she rolled over onto her in bed has died, according to the father’s Facebook page.
On Friday, Marco Mejia wrote this on his Facebook page:
“My baby girl , my heart and soul, my lil miracle baby, has left to be with God.”

Olaia was pronounced dead at 8:30 a.m. Friday, he said, and he thanked people ”for all the prayers, love and support I am sure Olaia heard them,” saying he plans to donate Olaia’s organs.
Police said Lisa Scalia, 31, was found with 34 bags of heroin and 10 oxycodone pills in her Ventnor, N.J. home on Sunday, according to the Press of Atlantic City.

Scalia was allegedly under the influence when she rolled over onto the infant and smothered her, which caused the baby to lose consciousness, Atlantic County Prosecutor Jim McClain said on Sunday.
Police were able to revive the infant at the scene but she remained hospitalized in critical condition all week.
Olaia Marie was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Campus in Atlantic City, on Sunday, and then transferred to St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia.
Scalia was charged with second-degree endangering the welfare of a child and four counts of possession of controlled dangerous substances: suboxone, oxycodone, heroin, and lyrica.
Suboxone is a drug often used to treat heroin addiction, and lyrica is a prescription medication used to treat nerve pain and seizures.
Earlier this week, Mejia said he expected the next few days to be his daughter’s last and asked for privacy so he could “say bye to my little princess.”
But he also asked people to stop writing hateful remarks about the mother, saying: ”Believe me I am the one who is the angriest towards her and I don’t ever want to see her face but I know with time I have to forgive her to move on.”
Scalia is being held at the Atlantic County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.
