Police are investigating a fatal crash involving a car and an NJ Transit bus on a major New Jersey highway.

Details, and the victim's identification, were revealed in a fatal crash involving a car and an NJ Transit bus on a major New Jersey highway.

The victim was Victoria Pilallis, 27, of Egg Harbor City, the driver of a Honda Accord, according to State Police.

Those who knew her paid tribute to her on social media.

The crash happened in the Atlantic City westbound lanes about 5 a.m. Monday near mile marker 3.6 in Pleasantville, police said.

The car, a Honda, rear-ended the NJ Transit bus as it was moving back to its Egg Harbor Township garage, according to officials said.

NJ Transit said the bus was moving when the car hit it.

The accident happened just as a winter storm was hitting the area, though the Pleasantville region received mostly rain.

The driver of the Honda died. The bus driver wasn't injured, and there were no passengers on the bus.
