Changes Announced For This Weekend's OC-Con

Ocean City's second annual comic book convention is this weekend.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — Due to the weather forecast that calls for heavy rain to soak New Jersey on Saturday, the Superhero Obstacle Course Dash that is part of this weekend’s OC-Con will move from the beach outside the Music Pier to the Ocean City Civic Center (just off the boardwalk at Sixth Street), Ocean City officials announced on Thursday. The run is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 1.

In another change announced on Thursday, the exclusive Q&A sessions with OC-Con special guests Billy Dee Williams and Seth Gilliam will be open to all general admission ticketholders for the comics and memorabilia festival on April 1 and 2 on the Ocean City Music Pier (Boardwalk at Moorlyn Terrace).

Williams starred as Lando Calrissian in “The Empire Strikes Back” and “Return of the Jedi” in the “Star Wars” trilogy. His career in film, television, music and art spans five decades. His career took off in the 1970s with memorable roles in “Mahogany,” “Lady Sings the Blues” and “Brian’s Song.” He will appear at OC-Con on Saturday, April 1, noon-12:45 p.m.
