Five Running Unopposed in Ocean City Board of Education Elections
Who's running in the November elections?

Two Ocean City Board of Education Members who were appointed to fill unexpired terms will run unopposed in special elections this year.
Gregory Whelan, who was appointed last year to fill the unexpired term of Peter Madden after he was elected to council, will run unopposed to fill the final year of that term in November’s election.
Tiffany Prettyman, who was appointed to fill the seat left vacant when Ray Clark resigned earlier this year, will also run unopposed to fill the final year of that term.

Three other incumbents will also run unopposed following Monday’s filing deadline.
Board Vice President Thomas Oves Jr. and Board Members H. James Bauer and Jacqueline McAlister are running for three open, three-year seats.

The list remains unofficial as Friday at 4 p.m. is the deadline to challenge a petition.
Election Day is Nov. 3.
