Humane Society Holding 'Show Us Your Paws' Parade in Ocean City
The parade is set for June 11.

Ocean City, NJ -- The Humane Society of Ocean City (HSOC) will hold its first βShow Us Your Pawsβ parade on Saturday, June 11, with registration starting at 4 p.m. at 6th Street on the Boardwalk. The parade lines up at 4:30 p.m., and begins at 4:45 p.m.
The parade route is from 6th Street to 14th Street with contests for best super hero, best super hero dog/owner look-alike, best surfer dog, best bathing beauty, best shoobie, and best decorated wagon.
Judges will be judging at the music pier, and contest prizes will be awarded at the 11th Street pavilion as the parade passes.

This HSOC fundraiser replaces βBarks on the Boards.β
Parade pre-registration is $10 to enter a dog and $20 for wagon entries. Registration at the event is $15 for anyone whoβs walking (wagon fee remains the same).

βWe hope to get a great response to this new event because fundraisers like this are critical to the work we do forOcean City since any government funding we receive is less than 10 percent of our budget,β HSOC Executive Director, Chief Animal Cruelty Investigator, and Animal Control Officer Bill Hollingsworth said. βWe certainly hope the community will turn out and support us at this fun new event.β
HSOC is a private, nonprofit βno-killβ adoption center that includes the Veterinary Center, offering affordable veterinary services and spay/neuter clinics to residents of Ocean City and surrounding communities.
HSOC has been serving the community for over 50 years with pet adoption, veterinary care, and animal control services.
