Last Chance: Voltaco's To Close This Weekend In Ocean City

After 69 seasons, the beloved Italian take-out spot is permanently closing its doors on Oct. 9.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — If you're craving a Voltaco's cheesesteak, this is your last chance to get one. After its 69th season, the Italian take-out spot is closing its doors permanently on Oct. 9.

Owner Jeff Taccarino told the Phildelphia Inquirer that the reason for closing was so he could be with family and watch his kids grow up.

"I'm just ready for a change," he told the outlet.

The restaurant is only open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and they don't answer the phone if it gets too busy (which it is almost certain to). Your best bet is getting there early and waiting in line, but according to social media reports, expect to still wait a long time.

The Taccarino family thanked everyone who had supported the business throughout its many years.

"We hope we may have touched your lives like so many of you have touched ours," the Taccarino family said.
