Ocean City Exchange Club 70th Anniversary Gala Set For Dec. 2

The gala will take place at the Flanders.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — The Exchange Club of Ocean City is celebrating 70 years of community service, and the public is invited. The club will hold its 70th Anniversary Gala on Saturday night, Dec. 2, at the Flanders Hotel, 719 East 11th Street in Ocean City, 6 p.m. The Billy Walton Band will perform, and a Surf and Turf Dinner will be served.

Local business leaders chartered the Exchange Club of Ocean City in 1947 with the goal of making Ocean City better following World War II. It sponsored Ocean City’s first Halloween Parade in 1948, and has supported local community organizations, youth programs and scholarships, and programs promoting the spirit of Americanism ever since. It sponsors the Book of Golden Deeds award. It has installed Freedom Shrines in local schools as a reminder of the great efforts that have been taken to ensure our freedom.

Tickets for the gala are $72.50, and are available at the Exchange Club of Ocean City website: www.ocxc.org.
